FACULTY BIO…
This program is presented by
Bonnie J. Bartos, PA-C, MHP, CDE. Bonnie draws from her twenty two
years of experience as a PA-C, twenty-four years as a
Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), and an impressive
background of academic publications and presentations to
provide this practical information for healthcare
providers. In addition to her busy career and work as an
author, she continues to be involved with local and national
diabetes associations. Ms. Bartos’ extensive background in
patient education has been implemented in this unique tool
for professionals involved with educating diabetic patients.
ACCREDITATION:
Dietitians – Academy Medical Systems is a Continuing Professional
Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic
Registration (CDR). Registered dietitians (RDs) and dietetic
technicians, registered (DTRs) will receive 10 continuing professional
education units (CPEUs) for completion of this program/material.
(Dietitians Level 1 & 2) Nurses – Academy Medical Systems is an approved provider of
continuing nursing education by the Michigan Nurses Association, an
accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s
Commission on Accreditation.
10 contact hours will be rewarded to
nursing professionals at the completion of this program. Academy medical
Systems is also a provider approved by the California Board of
Registered Nursing, provider #CEP14413, for 10 hours. And we are also a
provider approved by the Florida Board of Nursing, provider #50-19, for
10 hours. Certified Diabetes Educators – Academy Medical Systems’ Approved
Provider Status with the ANCC (nurses) and the CDR (dietitians) is
recognized by the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators (NCBDE).
