The Academy often receives requests to
bring one of our many programs to a particular institution
for staff education. While these workshops are the same
one-day seminars that tour the country, they can be modified
to meet the specific needs of the hosting facility based on
a detailed pre-program telephone interview. Although
variations are available, the standard format for On-Site is
a one-day, six-hour module beginning at 9 am and concluding
at 4 pm with a one hour break for lunch. Most presentations
require minimal audiovisual requirements on the part of the
facility, and a classroom style setting within the hospital. The Academy's fee for this service includes faculty airfare,
accommodations and per diem (up to $500), and faculty
compensation. Refreshments of any kind served during the
meeting are the responsibility of the hosting institution as
well as provision of the meeting room. The Academy will
provide a maximum of 50 workbooks and an appropriate number
of CEU certificates. If additional workbooks are needed the
Academy will provide a master copy for duplication at your
facility. Should you wish to offset expenses or profit
financially from the program, the Academy does not
discourage joint participation with neighboring hospitals,
charging tuition, or publicizing throughout your community.
