PURPOSE & CONCEPT…
This energetic one-day seminar is vital
to persons involved in wound care in clinics, acute and
extended care settings that, are required to attain a more
advanced knowledge of lower extremity ulcers. The content
covers the knowledge necessary to obtain positive results
in caring for the various types of wounds seen by the
clinician. Attendees will be asked to interrelate with the

advanced wound care to learn to develop care plans for

WORKSHOP FACULTY…
Marge Groom, RN, BSN, MSN, CWOCN graduated from
Belleville Junior College with an Associate of Science in
Nursing and from McKendree College with her Bachelor of
Science in Nursing in 1993. She attended Emory University in
Atlanta, Georgia for their Wound, Ostomy, and Continence
Program. Most recently she has completed a Master of Science
in Healthcare Administration at Bellevue University, Bellevue,
Nebraska.
Ms. Groom is an active member both in the Southern IL ET Nurse
Specialists and the St Louis Chapter of the WOCN. She is also
a Diplomat in the American Professional Wound Care
Association. Ms. Groom has worked in acute, extended, home
care and in the wound clinic as a CWOCN. Ms. Groom has written
numerous programs for CEUs and lectured both locally and
nationally. On a personal note, she is married and has three
grown children.
