An essential “must attend” one-day
workshop focusing on the care of patients receiving
sedation for invasive procedures within the health care setting.
The workshop will provide an in depth
review of the pre-procedural, intra- procedural and
post- procedural patient management
issues. The primary goals will focus on improved
competency while providing high quality patient
care. Emphasis will also be placed on Scope of Practice,
National Safety Goals, and National
Practice Guidelines in administering sedation.

Spend an informative and exciting day with
Celestine Braxton,
RN, BSN, MS, a widely sought-after national
educator, consultant, and practicing clinician. Ms. Braxton’s workshops promise participants the most
advanced, leading-edge tools to enhance quality patient
care, comply with regulatory demands, and offer
optimal management strategies for any sedation practice
setting. Ms. Braxton hails from Pittsburgh, PA.
where she is an Ambulatory Care Manager, and is responsible
for an Outpatient Surgical Unit, and Preadmission
Testing. She has also managed a Post Anesthesia Care Unit,
Endoscopy Unit and Infusion Center during her
tenure.
Ms. Braxton was the founder of the Ambulatory Nurse Managers
of Western PA, which had represented the
needs of twenty-two hospitals since 1986. During that time
she has presented associated topics throughout
the region and had provided a forum that supported education
and networking for the development of efficient
and effective ambulatory practices. Ms. Braxton led a task
force that developed sedation policies, competencies
and performance improvement programs for a noted Eastern
healthcare facility. Ms. Braxton’s wealth of
experience and education combine dramatically in offering a
workshop meant to educate, motivate, and reenergize
today’s healthcare provider.

phone once approval is received (checks can arrive
after enrollment). Payment must be received prior to
workshop date. Confirmation will be provided upon
enrollment. No tape recorders please.

Personalized Certificates of Completion (CE validation) will
be provided at the end of the workshop. Registrations made
inside of 10 days of event will receive Certificates in the
mail.

Nurses:
Academy Medical Systems is an approved provider of continuing

accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
7.2 contact hours will
be rewarded to nursing professionals at the completion of this
workshop. Academy medical Systems is also a provider approved
by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider
#CEP14413, for 7.2 hours. And we are also a provider approved
by the Florida Board of Nursing, provider #50-19, for 7.2

Radiology Technicians:
