PURPOSE & CONCEPT…

This one day workshop will address the changing practice and business aspects of Cardiac Rehab. As clinicians, we can no longer rely on good customer service alone for program survival. Health-care's increasing financial burden and Medicare's declining reimbursement have forever changed the environment in which we now practice.

The special needs of our client base are in constant flux due to the dramatic changes in our patient populations expanding age demographics. The growth of younger patients demands longer lifestyle management and older patients require greater assistance with the recovery process. This workshop will share current best practice research reinforcing a health care practitioners survival in an ever changing Cardiac Rehab environment.

WORKSHOP FACULTY…

Meet Bill Priest BS, MS who holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology and an undergraduate degree in Business Management and Corporate Wellness. He has over 15 years of experience in the health, fitness and rehabilitation industry. Bill is currently the Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation for large Midwestern healthcare system. In this role Bill is responsible for the clinical and administrative aspects of cardiac rehabilitation for two community hospitals and a university healthcare center. He is the past President and Reimbursement Chairman of the Minnesota Association for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. He also teaches a graduate level cardiac rehabilitation course to students at the University of Minnesota.

Bill has presented at various regional and national meetings of professional organizations including the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and the American Collage of Sports Medicine. Bill has written articles for numerous fitness publications and has appeared on the QVC and ValueVision Home Shopping networks as a health and fitness expert.
