Course Description:
Dietitians, health educators, nurses, and those interested in the topic of nutrition and wellness will enjoy this comprehensive course on obesity. Obesity in the United States has garnered attention due to rising statistics and increasing tools to aid in weight loss. The importance of nutrition in health and wellness and nutrition’s role in reducing risk factors for preventable diseases continues to attract both health educators and the general population. This six course series will focus on the prevalence of obesity, methods to motivate clients for behavior change, the role of physical activity, and the most current surgical procedures and medications for weight loss.

Exercise Physiologist – ACSM recognizes AMS’s approved provider status with the ANCC and will honor our continuing education for Certified Exercise Physiologist recertification purposes.
